1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the chapmanmobil.com website, the Chapman Mobil mobile application, or any of our automotive repair services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be announced via email to registered customers.
2. Description of Services
Chapman Mobil Auto Repair is an independent automotive repair shop located at 4502 E. Chapman Ave #92, Orange, CA 92869, licensed by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR).
We offer scheduled appointments, walk-in service, and mobile on-site service within Orange County. Specific service descriptions, durations, and starting prices are listed on chapmanmobil.com/services and within the iOS application.
Starting prices shown on the website are for the most common labor scope. Final pricing may vary based on vehicle make, model, parts availability, and any additional repairs identified during inspection. A written estimate is provided before any work begins.
3. Bookings & Cancellation
Free Booking: You may reserve a service slot at no cost and pay on the day of service. Slots are held for 15 minutes past the booked start time. We reserve the right to release the slot if you do not arrive or contact us.
Priority Booking (deposit): When you choose to pay a service deposit online, your deposit holds the slot, allows us to order parts in advance, and is credited toward the final invoice.
Cancellations: Free bookings may be cancelled at any time at no charge. Priority bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before the appointment receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the parts-ordering portion of the deposit (typically $25); the remainder is refunded.
Free Vehicle Checkup is always free, never charged, and may be cancelled or rescheduled at any time without penalty.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices listed on the website and app are in U.S. Dollars and starting estimates only. The final invoice is determined after inspection and your written approval of any additional work.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) processed securely through Stripe.
Price-beat guarantee: We will match or beat any written estimate from another licensed California auto repair shop for the same service on the same vehicle. Provide the competitor's estimate when booking.
5. Warranty
Mechanical labor is backed by an Up to 4-Year / 48,000 km labor warranty on major services. Specific warranty coverage varies by service — see your written invoice for the exact terms applicable to your repair.
Some services carry shorter warranty periods: brake parts are warranted for 1 year / 12,000 miles by the parts manufacturer; AC system parts are warranted for 90 days; wheel alignment includes a free re-check within 30 days.
Warranty covers labor and replaced parts for the failure of the original repair. It does not cover: damage caused by accident, abuse, neglect, off-road use, racing, or modifications performed by another shop after our service.
To make a warranty claim, return to our shop with the original invoice. We will inspect the vehicle and, if the failure is covered, repair it at no charge.
6. Vehicle Drop-Off & Storage
When you drop your vehicle at our shop, you authorize us to perform the diagnostic and repair work described in your written estimate. We will not begin additional work without your approval.
Vehicles left at our shop for more than 14 days after completion of service may be subject to a storage fee of $25 per day. Vehicles abandoned for more than 60 days may be processed in accordance with California Civil Code §3068.
We are not responsible for personal items left in your vehicle. Please remove valuables before drop-off.
Your vehicle is insured under our garage-keepers liability policy while it is in our care.
7. Customer Accounts
You may create an optional account to track your bookings, earn referral credits, and save vehicle information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. Providing false information is grounds for account termination.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
8. Referral Program
Existing customers can share a referral link. When a new customer signs up using your link and completes a paid booking, you receive 20% of the paid amount as a credit on your wallet.
Referral credits have no cash value and may only be applied to future service invoices at chapmanmobil.com.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the referral program at any time. We reserve the right to invalidate referrals that appear to be fraudulent (self-referrals, mass sign-ups, etc.).
9. AI Chat Assistant (CHAPMAN)
Our AI chat assistant, CHAPMAN, provides general automotive guidance, service recommendations, and pricing estimates. CHAPMAN is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for a professional diagnosis by a licensed mechanic.
Do not rely on CHAPMAN's recommendations for safety-critical issues. If your vehicle has urgent symptoms (no brakes, smoke, severe overheating), stop driving and contact us by phone immediately.
Chat messages may be processed by third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the chapmanmobil.com website and the Chapman Mobil mobile application — text, logos, images, photography, design, and code — is owned by Chapman Mobil Auto Repair or its licensors and is protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of our content without written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
Chapman Mobil's total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for that service.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use of your vehicle, loss of income, or rental car expenses, except where prohibited by California law.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved first by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Orange County, California.
If you are dissatisfied with a repair and believe we have not honored our warranty, you may file a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) at https://bar.ca.gov.
